Wake Forest Maternity Photos at the Reservoir | A Winter Pregnancy Session

We almost didn't have this maternity session.

What started as a windy February day in Wake Forest, NC had me seriously considering a reschedule. Between the freezing temperatures, 30 mph wind gusts, and a mama-to-be who was starting to feel labor pains, the odds were not exactly in our favor. But somehow, just as we arrived at the Wake Forest Reservoir, the clouds parted, the sun came out, and we were treated to one of the most beautiful golden-hour skies I've seen in a long time. From cotton candy reflections on the water to cozy woodland moments, this maternity session was worth every layer I had to put on.
